Bollards, Embed Plates and Site Protection Steel
Site-protection steel often includes more than a row of bollards. A complete drawing package can call for embedded pipe, base plates, anchor details, embed plates, Nelson studs, continuous angles, gussets and connection parts.
Embedded and baseplate bollards
Dark Horse Metals fabricates embedded and baseplate bollards for equipment areas, traffic-control points, building protection and project-specific layouts. Single replacements, repeat quantities and phased project releases can be coordinated around the approved requirements.
Embed plates and continuous angles
Embed plate work can include Nelson studs, continuous embed angles and long edge pieces. Dimensions, stud layout, plate thickness and connection details are taken from the project drawing so the parts arrive ready for the next construction step.
Plate cutting for gussets and connection parts
The SpitFire CNC plate table supports base plates, gussets, stiffeners, tabs and other connection components used in site-protection assemblies. Plate cutting and fabrication can be packaged with the pipe work instead of split across multiple suppliers.
Fabricated parts are inspected before delivery, including hole-pattern and alignment checks when required.
Site protection is drawing-driven fabrication
Bollard height, pipe size, base-plate geometry, anchor layout and finish vary by project. Embed assemblies add another layer of plate dimensions, stud patterns and connection requirements. Treating the work as a coordinated drawing package keeps those details together.
Gussets and stiffeners belong in the same package
Gussets and stiffeners may be small compared with the pipe or plate they connect, but they can control how an assembly fits and transfers load. Cutting those parts from the approved geometry on the plate table supports repeatable fabrication across a project quantity.
Dark Horse Metals can coordinate the pipe, plate cutting, welding and staged release of the completed components.
